(DALIANNEWS)- China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Dalian Sub-Council (CCPIT Dalian) announced on Monday that the city of Dalian held 12 international conferences in 2019, with the number ranking the 11th place in Chinese cities in this field last year in terms of the statistics released from the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA).  

Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, ICCA is one of the most important international conference organizations in the world. 

According to the statistics released this time, there were 13,254 international community meetings worldwide in 2019, increasing 317 than that of 2018 and also making it the highest number than ever. In the Asian market, China had the largest number of international conferences with 539 international conferences in 2019, an increase of 37 than that of 2018. Among them, there were 13 domestic destination cities that had more than 10 international conferences, including Beijing which topped other cities with 91 international conferences and Shanghai just followed by 87 ones. Dalian had 12 international conferences in 2019, an increase of 6 compared with that of 2018, making its national ranking risen to the 11th place from the 15th in 2018.

The city of Dalian had a total of 28 high-level international and domestic conferences in 2019, such as World Education Day Assembly-2019, 2019 ARCO Biennial Meeting, RMSC-2019, Asia for Animals Symposium, ChinaMM 2019, 2019 Chinese Biomaterials Congress, China Fast Food Industry Conference and MEVOS International Congress of Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine. The number of the participators surpassed 24,000 including 30 academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. There were also nine conferences with more than 1,000 participators respectively. 

Liaoning Zhongyi Conference & Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. has officially become a member of ICCA recently through screening and evaluation, which is also the first member of ICCA in Northeast China.
