(DALIANNEWS)- The 33rd Dalian International Marathon is due to take place in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China's Liaoning Province, May 31, 2020.

The event will launch its official microblog and WeChat account today, providing the latest information and service for running lovers all over the world. The online registration will also begin after the opening of the official website this February. 

The 33rd Dalian International Marathon is likely to attract 30,000 domestic and overseas competitors including 12,000 runners for the full marathon, 13,000 runners for the half marathon and 5,000 runners for the mini marathon.

Now the route for the Full Marathon(42.195 km) is confirmed as follow. The route will set off from Dalian International Conference Center, Donggang Business District and proceed along Renmin Road (by way of Habour Square, Zhongshan Square, Friendship Square), Zhongshan Road (by way of Hope Square, People’s Square, Olympic Square, Peace Square), Xinghai Square turning back, Huizhan Road, Zhongshan Road, Jiefang Road, Qiqi Street, Wuwu Road, Changjiangdong Road, Haile Street, Ganglong Street turning back, Gangdong Second Street, Gangxing Road, Dongchen Street, Gangpu Road, Gangdong Fifth Street, Gangdong Street, Gangpu Road, Gangdong First Street, Ganglong Road, Renmindong Road, back to the Terminal Point at Dalian International Conference Center, Donggang Business District. 

In addition, the routes for Men/Women Half Marathon, Men/Women Wheelchair Half Marathon and Men/Women Mini Marathon are also confirmed, which are basically the same as last year. 

Dalian International Marathon has been held successfully for 32 years ever since 1987. The event this year is sponsored by Chinese Athletic Association and Dalian Municipal People’s Government, and organized by Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau, Dalian Federation of Disabled Persons, Dalian Municipal Public Security Bureau, Dalian Municipal Culture & Tourism Bureau and Dalian News Media Group.
