(DALIANNEWS)- "Luneng Resort Cup" the 26th National Winter Swimming Championship and the 18th Dalian International Winter Swimming Festival will kick off at the Golden Pebble Beach in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China's Liaoning Province, October 18 to 20, 2019. 

The event will attract more than 3,000 contestants in over 100 teams from different countries including Russia, America, Canada and China.

It is the fourth time for the port city of Dalian to host National Winter Swimming Championship due to its pleasant climate environment, high-quality natural resources and high-level contest service of Golden Pebble Beach. 

The competition breaks the age limit of contestants and allows more people to take part in. According to the statistics, the contestants in the 18 to 35 year-old group and over 55 year-old group will account for 60% of the applicants. 

The opening ceremony will be held at 9:00 am on October 19, 2019 with a grand performance combining sport, tourism and culture.
