(DALIANNEWS)- The 17th Dalian International Walking Festival is scheduled to be held in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, May 18 and 19, 2019. 

More than 200 hiking lovers from Russia, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions as well as over 300,000 local citizens will take part in the two-day event.

The event will set up a main venue at Donggang Business District and five sub-venues at Lvshunkou District, Anbo in Pulandian, Jiahui Oak Foreign Language School in Hi-tech Zone, the coastal park of Jinshitan national tourism resort and Ganjingzi District respectively.

Routes:

5 km: Donggang Business District- Gangpu Road- Dongchen Street- 8th Gangdong Street, Ganglong Road

10 km (May 19): Donggang Business District- Gangpu Road- Binhai North Road- Yingbin Road- Dajiashan Parking Lot at Yingbin Road

20 km: Donggang Business District- Gangpu Road- Binhai North Road- Binhai East Road- Square in front of Laohutan Ocean Park

30 km (May 18): Donggang Business District- Gangpu Road- Binhai North Road- Binhai East Road- Square in front of Laohutan Ocean Park- Binhai Middle Road- Square in front of Civil Aviation Sanatorium

Tips:

During the walking festival, the roads around Donggang Business District, Gangwan Square, Bangchui Island, Laohutan Ocean Park, Fujiazhuang Park and Dalian Forest Zoo will probably be congested. Please arrange reasonable travel routes in advance.

People who do need to travel to the surrounding areas of the hiking routes can choose the following routes.

1. Go to the surrounding areas of Dalian Forest Zoo and Fujiazhuang Park

A. Binhai West Road- Dalian Forest Zoo(Fujiazhuang Park)

B. Changchun Road- Bayi Road- Dalian Forest Zoo(Fujiazhuang Park)

2. Go to Laohutan Ocean Park

A. Zhongnan Road- Laohutan Ocean Park

B. Jiefang Road- Laohutan Ocean Park
