(DALIANNEWS)- The 17th Dalian International Walking Festival is due to be held at Donggang Musical Fountain Square in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, May 18 and 19, 2019.

The registration work for the foreign hiking lovers is underway. Up till now, more than 200 foreign hiking lovers from nearly 10 countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, South Korea and Japan, and over 30,000 domestic hiking lovers have signed up for this event, according to the report.

The event will set up a main venue at Donggang Business District and five sub-venues at Lvshunkou District, Anbo in Pulandian, Jiahui Oak Foreign Language School in Hi-tech Zone, the coastal park of Jinshitan national tourism resort and Ganjingzi District respectively.

The route will cover 5 km, 10km, 20km and 30 km. Walking lovers can enjoy pleasant views while participating in the event.

Now the preparatory work for the event is still underway. According to the report, 11 drinking stations, 4 medical stations, 15 rescue vehicles and 12 fixed and mobile public toilets will be set up along walking route. A total of six special bus routes will be operated from 6:30 am to 8:30 am during the event, so as to guarantee the quick evacuation of the participators.
