(DALIANNEWS)- China•Dalian (Zhuanghe) International Blueberry Festival is due to be held at Zhuanghe, a county-level city of Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, July 19 to August 15, 2016.

Zhuanghe, dubbed as the No.1 Blueberry Village in China, has a blueberry planting area of 55,000 mu with an annual output of 5 billion yuan. Now it has formed a comprehensive industrial chain integrated with manufacturing, processing and marketing.

After many years' development, the blueberry industry has become a pillar of the agricultural economy in Zhuanghe, and the blueberries have been exported to Europe, America, Japan, South Korea and other countries.

A series of activities such as art shows, performances, photo contest, blueberry-picking tour as well as commodity fair will also be held during the festival.
