(DALIANNEWS)– The Xigang District Stadium, which is nearly completed in recent days, will be put into trial operation at the end of this September.

With a total investment of about 208 million yuan, the stadium with the height of 27 meters takes up a land area of 6,900 square meters and a building area of 28,000 square meters.

The stadium has 300 parking lots in three underground floors, and sports venues in fields of ball games, fitness and recreation as well as mass cultural and sports activities on the ground.

The former fitness facilities and office equipments will be reused and new facilities and LED screen will be purchased at present.

The stadium will also install 1,008 removable chairs.

The recruitment for the employees has been started, and pre-job training has began in recent days.

The qualified staff will do practice work from September 11, making preparation for the upcoming trial operation.

After opening to the public, the stadium will provide preferential services for the locals, classes for students in their vacations, and free activities for the disabled.

Public service activities will also be offered during the festivals and anniversaries.
