(DALIANNEWS)- The 1st Dalian Mingdao Cup Sailing Race was held at Xinghai Bay Yacht Marina, Dalian, a port city of Northeast China’s Liaoning Province, June 29, 2014.

A total of 13 sailing boats from Dalian Naval Academy and Dalian Maritime University attended the contest.

Dalian Mingdao Yacht and Sailing Boat Club attends international sailing race every year.

The sailing race this year aimed to select high level team to attend the international contest.

Barry Sroka, one of the founders of American Sailing Association gave affirmation on this sailing race.

Apart from that, Gao Min, a local citizen, will start his two-year global navigation by sailing boat from July 1, 2014.
