(DALIANNEWS)- The 10th Dalian International Walking Festival will be held on May 19 and 20, 2012, news announced by the city’s walking association, February 19, 2012.

The walking festival has been held successfully for nine years in Dalian ever since 2003. This year, the walking festival will embrace its tenth birthday with a series of activities in this coastal city.

Among all the activities, the 1st Dalian Folk (International) Walking Culture Forum, which is proposed by local walking lovers, will highlight the festival on May 18.

“The hiking activity has become a popular sport among local citizens. ”, said Ke Shichang, one of the initiators of this forum. “We also take part in the environment protection activity while walking along the Xinghai road.”, he added.
