(DALIANNEWS)- The Fifth Summer Davos will be held in the coastal city of Dalian, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province, September 14 to 16, 2011.

The Summer Davos will continue to focus on its green low-carbon, simple and effective style this year. Many low-carbon elements have been merged into the event, especially in fields of design, materials and decoration.

It is the third time for the coastal city to embrace this event. Dalian has held the event in 2007 and 2009.

Preparation works for the Summer Davos have been made steady in recent days.

The construction on the New Champions Village will start the bidding in April, and the whole project will be started in July.

Local security guards will achieve docking with the ones from the World Economic Forum in April.

Preparation works on the young scientists’ reception, cultural banquet, guests invitation, volunteers recruitment, galley and closing reception have also been started in Dalian.
