(DALIANNEWS)- A badminton team with 11 people from Glasgow in UK came to Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China's Liaoning Province, for a week-long exchange and visit from March 8 to 14, 2019. The port city of Dalian will continue to promote an extensive exchanges and cooperation with Glasgow in sports including football, tennis, bicycle and other projects.
A badminton team with 11 people from Glasgow in UK came to Dalian for a weekly exchanges and visit from March 8 to 14, 2019.
During the visit, badminton players from Glasgow and Dalian learnt from each other in the match. Besides every day's training and competition, Glasgow players can also experience Chinese traditional culture by tasting special delicious food, appreciating calligraphy as well as attending tea art performance.
Local young badminton players have a match with a Glasgow badminton team in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China's Liaoning Province.
Dalian and Glasgow became sister cities in 1987. In the past 30 years, both sides developed an extensive cooperation in economy, trade and culture. The badminton team from Glasgow visited Dalian for matches and exchanges in 2014. A delegation led by the mayor of Glasgow also visited Dalian in October, 2018, deepening the badminton exchanges and mutual communication between the two cities.
