(DALIANNEWS)- The port city of Dalian has experienced a Spring Festival return travel rush recently as the week-long Spring Festival holiday ended on February 10, 2019.

According to the report, China Southern Airlines transported 114,000 passengers arriving and departing the local airport during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday from February 4 to 10 this year, a year-on-year increase of eight percent.
Local railway stations also saw a passenger return peak from February 9 to 10. The city’s two railway stations saw some 270,000 passengers from February 4 to 10, according to local railway authority. Extra trains were also provided during this period.

Local metro also had an outstanding performance during the 7-day holiday. During the Spring Festival holiday, Metro Line 1, 2, 3 and 12 transported 1.4385 million passengers in total. On February 10, Line 1 has transported 105,000 passengers at Dalian North Railway Station as of 3 pm. The number of the return passengers still increases currently.
