(DALIANNEWS)- Tan Zuojun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Dalian Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Luc Lemonnier, mayor of Le Havre, France, in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, September 19, 2018.
Tan Zuojun extended a warm welcome to the delegation. “Dalian and Le Havre have been twinned with each other for 33 years. During this period, both sides work closely and yield fruitful results in fields of economic and trade cooperation, culture and education. The two cities are both port cities. They have similar industrial structures and great potential for cooperation. We hope that on the basis of strengthening economic and trade cooperation, both sides will adopt more flexible and diversified ways to deepen cooperation in the fields of culture, art, higher education and youth exchanges. Dalian is willing to learn from Le Havre's successful experience in environmental protection, pension services and other fields. We will continue to provide support and help for the development of French enterprises in Dalian.”, said Tan Zuojun.
“I am very happy to visit Le Havre's sister city-Dalian, which makes us look forward to the future cooperation between the two cities. We hope that both sides will further strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education and environmental protection, promote youth exchanges, attract more young people to join the friendly exchanges and become image ambassadors to inherit the friendship between the two cities.”, said Luc Lemonnier, mayor of Le Havre, France.
