(DALIANNEWS)- The port city of Dalian received 802,000 domestic and overseas tourists during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from September 22 to 24 this year, achieving a tourism revenue of 1.195 billion yuan.
The city's major scenic spots and tourist attractions witnessed 826,000 tourists during this period with a business revenue of 66.1 million yuan.
A lot of festive activities boomed the tourist market in Dalian during the past three-day holiday, including an outdoor sports festival at Xijiao national forest park which attracted 547 players from five countries and 15 provinces and cities in China and more than 63,000 tourists from home and abroad, and a harvest festival and a colorful leaves festival at Lushun, which drew over 43,600 visitors.

The Mid-Autumn Festival saw a pleasant climate this year, which was quite suitable for family outings. Many families went to the countryside, enjoying the harvest festival, admiring the moonlight, tasting seafood and having fun in hot springs.
Local tourist attractions further reduced the ticket prices on the basis of the original holiday preferences, and some scenic spots even opened to the public free of charge during the holiday.
