(DALIANNEWS)- The annual international cherry festival is scheduled to be held at Jinpu New Area in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, June 12, 2018.
Jinpu New Area has a cherry planting area of about 100,000 mu and a cherry picking area of 60,000 mu. During the festival, a total of 170 cherry orchards with an estimated output of 70,000 tons will open for the tourists from home and abroard.
The festival will include ten themed activities such as the openingn ceremony, cherry picking season, micri-video contest, special snack tasting month, selection of the citizens’ favorable homestay accommodations, golf invitation contest and local renowned artists’ works show.
A total of nine self-driving routes for cherry picking will also be provided for tourists this year.
During the festival, Jinpu New Area will organize 35 charter flights, 100 trains in Northeast China, 500 coaches in Liaoning Province, 8,000 tour groups and 180,000 self-driving vehicles to spur the economic growth for the fruit growers.
The festival will continue to July 12 this year.
