(DALIANNEWS)- Local railway stations witnessed about 45,000 passengers in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, on the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush this year, February 1, 2018.
According to the report, the peak time for the Spring Festival travel rush will fall from February 8 to 14 this year, and the peak passenger flow will start from February 11 to 14.
During this period, local railway stations will see the passengers mainly heading to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Harbin, Jiamusi, Qiqihar, Mudanjiang, Changchun, Jilin, Tonghua, Chifeng, Lingyuan and Jinzhou.
Local railway stations are expected to transport about 1.82 million passengers during the Spring Festival travel rush this year, up 5 percent than that of the previous year, with an average transport number of 46,000 passengers daily.
During the peak time for the Spring Festival travel rush before the festival which will fall from February 8 to 14 this year, local railway stations are expected to transport 526,000 passengers, with an average transport number of 75,000 passengers daily.
