(DLIANNEWS)- The promotion conference of the Special Economic Zone in Duqm & China-Oman(Duqm) Industrial Park was held in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China's Liaoning Province, September 10, 2017.
Located at central area of Oman, Southeast of Arabian Peninsula, the Special Economic Zone in Duqm covers an area of 2,000 square meters.
Duqm is the crossing point of eastern-western international shipping routes and also the biggest special economic zone in Middle East and North Africa areas.
Covering with an area of 11.72 square meters, China-Oman Industrial Park is located in the Special Economic Zone in Duqm.
In 2015, China has invested 2 billion dollars in Oman and the bilateral trade volume has reached 17.02 billion dollars. Oman has exported 77 percent of total oil exports (237 million barrels) to China.
Dalian Mingyuan Holdings Group Co., Ltd. has signed investment agreement with Duqm Special Economic Zone, planning to build Methanol To Olefin (MTO) Industrial Chain Project in China-Oman Industrial Park.
The company planed to build 10 million tons MTO Project. With a total investment of about 2.8 billion US dollars and an estimated annual production value of 919 million US dollars, the first phase of the project is planned to build 1.8 million tons of MTO by natural gas project each year.
