(DALIANNEWS)- The port city of Dalian will open a duty-free shop at the airport this September, making the city the first one of its kind in China to initiate the business mode of the duty-free shops in both the airport and the downtown area.
The duty-free shop at Dalian International Airport will cover a business area of 300 square meters, providing an opportunity for inbound passengers to shop by their passports, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan pass or plane tickets before entering the customs.
According to the relevant requirements in China, the total amount of duty-free items can not exceed 8,000 RMB.
The duty-free shop at the airport mainly features thousands of personal consumer goods in 14 categories such as tobacco, alcohol as well as cosmetics. Among them, products including tobacco, alcohol and milk powder are only in limited supply with two cartons of cigarettes, two bottles of wine and four pieces of milk powder for each passenger.
