(DALIANNEWS)- The port city of Dalian has received up to 1.6585 million tourists from home and broad during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday from January 27 to February 2 this year, up 10.52 percent than that of the previous year, news announced from the city’s tourism bureau on February 2, 2017.
During this period, the city of Dalian saw a comprehensive revenue of 2.203 billion yuan in tourism, increasing 12.63 percent compared to that of the last year.

The city’s major scenic spots received 1.3235 million tourists during the seven-day holiday, up 9.07 percent, achieving 47.1993 million yuan in ticket sales, increasing 12.16 percent, while the hot spring and skiing resorts also witnessed 239,900 visitors, a growth of 19.29 percent, reaching a revenue of 35.1625 million yuan, an increase of 18.31 percent.
According to the report, the rural tour and the self-driving tour continued to highlight the Spring Festival holiday this year.
The port city of Dalian also promoted a series of activities to add festive air to the Spring Festival holiday, such as rural tour, culture tour, folk art tour as well as hot spring and skiing tour.
Apart from that, the port city of Dalian also saw 228,000 auto vehicles for self-driving travelling during the seven-day holiday this year, up 12.32 percent, due to the city's highways’ toll-free for passenger cars with seven seats or less from January 27 to February 2 this year.
