(DALIANNEWS)- The port city of Dalian received a total of 2.752 million tourists from home and abroad during the National Day holiday from October 1 to 7 this year, an increase of 11.45 percent than that of the previous year, achieving tourism comprehensive revenue of 3.637 billion yuan, a growth of 12.85 percent compared with that of the last year.
The city's major scenic spots witnessed 3.0545 million domestic and overseas tourists with a ticket revenue of 121.2087 million yuan during this period.
The family-oriented self-driving tourism continued to boom with 405,000 private cars during the seven-day holiday, up 15.7 percent than that of the last year.
The self-driving tour has become an important travel way for tourists in China.
The city's tourism market was in an orderly way without any safety accidents and major tourist complaints during the holiday.
