Tang Jun meets with Australian ambassador to China Jan Adam

(DALIANNEWS)- Tang Jun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Dalian Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Australian ambassador to China Jan Adam, who attends the 16th China International Steel & Raw Materials Conference 2016 in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, September 22, 2016.

Tang extended a warm welcome to the delegation. "Dalian is considered a bridgehead of NE China’s opening to the outside world, and also an important port city and old industrial base. Over the years, Dalian has attached great importance to the cooperation and exchange with Australia in an extensive fields such as energy and resources, agriculture as well as commercial service. Enterprises on both sides have mutual investment.", said Tang Jun.

"Dalian is currently in a crucial period of transformational development. China has approved to set up free trade pilot zone in Liaoning province, which brings a brand new opportunity for Dalian. We hope that both sides will take seize of this opportunity to further promote economic and trade cooperation as well as cultural exchange. We also welcome more Australian enterprises to invest in Dalian, and encourage local companies to develop in Australia. The city of Dalian will provide more cooperation platforms and stronger support for enterprises on both sides.", added Tang.

"Dalian is a beautiful and charming city, and for years, Dalian and Australia have close contact with each other in many successful cooperation. Both sides have continued to open new cooperation space in finance, service industry, agriculture, agricultural products trade, food, education and other fields in recent years, which will offer a huge potential for cooperation in the future.", said Jan Adam, Australian ambassador to China.

"We are confident in transformational development of the old industrial base in NE China, and expecting a stronger friendly cooperation with Dalian.", added Jan Adam.
