Dalian signs memorandum on establishing friendly relations of cooperation with Bangkok

(DALIANNEWS)- Dalian signed a memorandum on establishing friendly relations of cooperation with Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, in Dalian, a port city of Northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, July 19, 2016.

Xiao Shengfeng, mayor of Dalian City, attended the signing ceremony together with Sukhumphan Boriphat, mayor of Bangkok.

Both sides held friendly talks on the topics of strengthening the cooperation between the two cities and conducted cooperation in various forms such as economy, environmental protection, culture, tourism, education, sport and youth exchange.

Mayor Xiao Shengfeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation, introducing the city’s economic and social development.

“We hope that the two cities can take the memorandum as an opportunity to find the corresponding point of deepening exchanges and cooperation, injecting new energy to the development of friendly relations between the two cities.”, said Xiao Shengfeng.

“I am attracted by the beautiful city's environment and booming economic vitality. The cooperation between Dalian and Bangkok not only promote economic prosperity of two cities, but also make great contribution to promoting the friendly relation development of China and Thailand. We hope the two cities can develop deep exchange and cooperation in more fields, increasing mutual trust as well as mutual benefits and win-win on the basis of the existing cooperation.”, said Sukhumphan Boriphat.

Xiao Shengfeng also reached an extensive consensus with Sukhumphan Boriphat on the exchange of tourist charter flights, setting up a display and trading platform for agricultural and sideline products and industrial, electronic and software products, as well as promoting health care and industrial park cooperation.
