Dalian ranks 4th place in Chinese livable cities

(DALIANNEWS)- The port city of Dalian ranks the fourth place in China according to the livability index issued by Chinese Academy of Sciences in the Research Report of Livable Cities in China, June 14, 2016.

According to the report, the top three cities are Qingdao, Kunming and Sanya, and the fifth place goes to Weihai.

Selected from 40 domestic cities, the research report is based on an evaluation system called the livability index, which factors in six dimensions including the urban safety, natural environment, public service facilities, social and human environment, traffic and healthy environment, as well as 29 specific indices.

The port city of Dalian has a good performance on different kinds of the rankings recently. It ranks the fifth place in the Chinese Most Clean Cities 2015, the fourth place in China Best Performance Cities 2015, as well as the 85th place in the World Livable Cities issued by Economist Intelligence Unit in a latest survey.
