China’s largest indoor food court to be set up

(DALIANNEWS)– The city of Dalian will set up China’s largest indoor food court at the basement of Parkson Shopping Center(Changchun Road), news announced from a working conference of Xigang district, February 24, 2014.

The food court is expected to open to the public at the end of this May.

About 80 stalls will be gathered here, offering local snacks, sea products, snacks from Japan and South Korea, and gourmet from Southeast Asia and European countries.

The indoor food court will be decorated with the city’s features such as the old buildings, electric vehicles, and the light tower. The background music including the electric cars’ bells and the sound of waves will also be added to the food court.

The food court will open from 5:30 am to 12 midnight, and the business time will be prolonged in summer.

According to the conference, the city’s Xigang district is also planning to build five night markets, covering Russian style, Japanese style, European style, time-honored brands as well as rare seafood.

The Xigang district plans to enlarge the business area for night catering from 8,659 square meters to 54,000 square meters, and the night shopping area will also be increased from 143,000 square meters to 438 square meters.

Apart from that, the beer garden at the Binhai Building will be put into operation this May, forming a beer garden belt together with other gardens at the Fujiazhuang area.
