(DALIANNEWS) – The imported steel scrap in bulk has seen a sharp rise at the Dalian Port in the first half year, said sources with the Liaoning Entry- Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, July 2.
The port has started the African iron ore import since June this year.
Over 180 batches of bulk scrap has been imported at the Dalian Port with the weight of 558 thousand tons and the turnover of US$ 163 millin, up 309%、7800% and 8379% year- on – year respectively.
Former iron ore import countries include Australia, Brazail, India and Canada while Africa appears in the list for the first time in a decade. |
