(DALIANNEWS)- Kong Shuzhen, a 105 year-old local lady, receives the greetings from Dalian Charity Federation in Dalian, October 6, 2008, one day ahead of the Double Ninth Festival which falls on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month in China.

The number of the centenarians in this city has reached to 372, topped other cities in Northeast China. Dalian has become a nice city for the longevity people due to its mild climate and clean environment.

The city’s government has raised the “centenarian allowance” to 320 yuan per month since October 1, 2007.
