| (DALIANNEWS) – Construction on a wind power plant of the claimed largest scale in the city is commenced yesterday in the town of Wafangdian in northern part of Dalian.
The phase I of the project is set to start operation on December 1, 2009, producing over 100 million kilowatt- hours each year.
It’ll be a power supplier mostly for Dalian area.
With an area of 62 square kilometers, the power plant is located at the county of Tuoshanxiang, along the coastalland having an altitude of 20 to 190 meters where the wind power resource reaches the national standard of four- level.
The expecting capacity of the Tuoshanxiang plant is totalled 300 megawatts. |
