Rare sea calves returned to good health
 BY 2008-04-18 10:22:03

Up to 12 wild adult sea calves, a highly protected species, were returned to nature on Sunday after being rehabilitated at an aquarium in Dalian, Liaoning province.

Most of the calves had either been caught accidentally by local fishermen or poached. They had all been transferred to the aquarium to be looked after by professionals.

The aquarium has, since 2002, rescued more than 20 wild sea calves, and most of them have been returned to the sea.
