(DALIANNEWS)- The 7th Dalian International Winter Swimming Festival is to be held at Jinshi Beach of Dalian, a coastal city of northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, October 21, 2008.

At meanwhile, the International Winter Swimming Invitation Competition and the 3rd Citizens’ Bodybuilding Contest are scheduled to be held at the same day.

Nearly 150 athletes from over ten foreign countries including Russia, Spain, Australia, America, Canada, Ukraine, Japan as well as South Korea and more than 500 athletes from 30 domestic delegations have enrolled in the event up till now.

Various kinds of activities such as the opening ceremony, Triathlon, swimming competition, cycling race and the closing ceremony will be held during the festival. Over ten domestic delegations have enrolled in the cycling race, which is a new competition in this event.
