(DALIANNEWS)- “Fo”, a Chinese character was written by Zhang Kesi (R), a well-known calligraphist, as a donation for the quake-hit areas in Sichuan Province, during a charity and fundraising event held by calligraphers in Dalian, northeast of China’s Liaoning Province, May 24, 2008.
Zhang also presented one of his works to a girl who donated 200 yuan to the quake-stranded areas in China during the fundraiser.
Zhang Kesi, chairman of the World Chinese Artists Association, was claimed as “the most influential artist in 2008” by the United Nations on April 25 this year. He won great reputation among countries including Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Bulgaria. |
