(DALIANNEWS)- The 6th Dalian International Walking Festival will kick off at Xinghai Square of Dalian, northeast of China’s Liaoning Province, May 17 to 18, 2008. Preparations for the festival are ready according to the organizing committee.

The festival will kick off without an opening ceremony. Participators can join in the event as soon as they get to the square.

The walking activity contains courses of 30 kilometers, 20 kilometers and five kilometers respectively. A ten kilometers course is added to the event on May 18, 2008.

Over 300 walking lovers from over ten countries including Japan, South Korea and Holland have signed up for this festival recently.
