View outside the Yanda Railway- ferry

(DALIANNEWS) – Yanda Railway- ferry is expected to be put into operation in May this year after its trial operation, for cargoes only, starting from November 6, 2006, officials with the organizing committee for the project said in Dalian on April 22.

Examination and approval of the ferry transportation has been finished, said Li Liquan, manager with the China Railway Bohai Ferry Co., Ltd. during an opening ceremony of the Week of Loving Birds Tuesday.

The railway-ferry line spanning East China's Jiaodong Peninsula of Shandong Province and Northeast China's Liaodong Peninsula of Liaoning Province will cut travel distances by up to 400 kilometres.
