(DALIANNEWS) - Luxury liner STATENDAM docked at the Dalian Port Monday morning, the first one visiting the city this year.

The liner, operated by U.S.- based Holland and America Cruise carried over 1,200 passengers on board.

It left for Tianjin in the afternoon.

Dalian port is becoming the important transaction terminal for the international luxury liners visiting China thanks to the city's edges in navigation and tourism resources, Wang Jun, general manager with the international travel agency of China National Tourism said.

There'll be four cruise ships docking for six times in Dalian in April with thousands of European and American visitors on board.

Another passenger liner Crystal Symphony will dock at the port this morning with a capacity of 790 people and will leave for Tianjin this afternoon.
