China Int'l Education Exhibition kicks off

(DALIANNEWS) - The annual China International Education Exhibition kicks off in Dalian, of northeastern China's Liaoning Province, March 4, 2008 with over twenty colleges and universities from England joining in.

"Business and translation are lessons that Chinese overseas students mainly interested in," said Sharan Clannachan, Recruitment Manager, University of Hull, from which many Chinese celebrities such as Phoenix TV host Xu Gehui have graduated.

"It'll take at least four weeks to cope with the learning life in the U.K. on their own with the help of the tutor," Sharan said.

Some senior high school students and their parents swarm into the exhibition to make consultations on studying abroad.

Most of the U.K. universities like Hull provide scholarships according to the academic performance and personal developments of the appliers.

"We can provide students with opportunities working in the companies in the U.K. for a year. And many companies having business in China would like to hire our students with expertise and language skills," Sharan said.
