Dalian man tells of China's Olympic story

(DALIANNEWS) - The man who lives in the apartment of Japan style at the No. 195 Gao'erji Road in downtown city of Dalian hasn't always been a professor with the Dalian University of Technology (DUT), but the one who receives interviews with media at home and abroad year round.

Liu Hongtu, whose father is Liu Changchun, China's first Olympian, has become the highlight since last year, one year before the country holds the 29 th Olympics, with over forty journalists including CCTV, Phoenix, Liaoning TV interviewing him.

The retired man now is collecting passages on his father.

With opportunities to change his house a bigger one, Liu insists on living in this aged building, which Liu Changchun moved into in the year 1956 and was dubbed the city's significantly protective architecture in 2002.
