Barrett: three changes promoted by globalization

Craig R. Barrett, chairman of Intel Corp, said that the three major changes not only influenced large state-owned  and multinational enterprises but also those emerging companies. For example, 60 percent of our income came from the United States in the past. But now,only 25% was from the United States. Enterprises like Intel, IBM are trying to adapt to the fact that our work can be done anywhere in the world. Due to the development of the Internet, we can contact the customers instantly no matter where they are.

Maurice Levy: human capital to new leaders

Maurice Levy, French Publicis Group Chairman and CEO, said that the new leaders should be luckier than us because this was a world without a fixed structure. They can immediately contact consumers around the world and instantly creat brands. The only difficulty to the new leaders is how to get human capital to keep up with the  company's rapid pace of growth.

Liu Jiren: Internet has brought us lots of business opportunities 

Liu Jiren, Neusoft Group Chairman and CEO said that Internet has brought us lots of business opportunities. Network helped in building infrastructure. Now 160 million network management in China are based on the Internet. Liu Jiren took the social security system as an example: 50% of our social security system is based on the Internet. The network linked together thousands of hospitals. Many hospitals in rural areas can apply the remote medical diagnostic and telemedicine. At the same time, doctors in rural areas can share the cases in the city hospitals. Phones can also bring a lot of business opportunities: nowadays, every Chinese young people sends SMS, which is their way of communication. This brings great income to China Mobile and other mobile operators.

James: dependence on network infrastructure and network systems

James, Zurich Financial Services Group CEO said that we depended on the network infrastructure and systems so high that we cannnot find customers without it. His company benefited from globalization through the Internet and rapidly transfered the resources to other countries. It is highly recommended  to take full advantage of interoperability to exchange our ideas.
