Klaus Schwab, executive chairman and founder of the World Economic Forum, is in a interview with the media in Dalian.
(DALIANNEWS)- A delegation leading by Klaus Schwab, executive chairman and founder of the World Economic Forum visited Dalian, a coastal city of northeastern China's Liaoning Province, March 17, 2007, showing their great confidence in the city's holding the event of the "Summer Davos" in September this year.
Dalian has been mainly in heavy industry, but now is very fast moving into hi-tech industry, thus Dalian is an ideal location for holding the annual meeting of Global Growth Companies (GGC), said Klaus Schwab, executive chairman and founder of the World Economic Forum.
Klaus Schwab also say Chinese companies will gain great benefits from this "Summer Davos", for they will have the chance to communicate with the international large-scale companies and learn the environment and trend of the present world's economic development.
The "Summer Davos" will serve as a platform to link growth companies from across the world, seeking cooperation and development,Klaus Schwab added.
