Xia Deren is responsible for the overall work of the government; he is in charge of the Finance Bureau, the Supervision Bureau, and the Audit Bureau.

Xia Deren: male, a graduate with a Doctorate on Finance, was born in Dalian in June 1955, he is currently the mayor of Dalian Municipal Government.

Xia Deren served successively as teaching assistant, master student, doctoral student, deputy dean, associate professor of the finance department, and vice-president(presiding over work), professor, tutor for doctoral student, president of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, deputy mayor of Dalian Municipal Government, member of the standing committee of the CPC Dalian Committee, executive vice-mayor of Dalian, member of the standing committee of CPC Liaoning Committee, deputy governor of Li14u6CIuty governor of Liaoning Provincial Government, deputy secretary of the CPC Dalian Committee, and was elected the standing member of the CPC Liaoning Committee, deputy governor of Liaoning, deputy secretary of CPC Dalian Committee and mayor of Dalian since January, 2003.
