Locally famed, Sheng Dao Glasswork is known for its fine workmanship. The factory manufactures beautiful glasswork in colors of crystalline white, red, jade green and dark blue. If you stop by the factory, you can peruse the display room, which features product samples. The most impressive is a glass engraving portraying the 12 beauties from the Chinese classical novel, "A Dream of Red Mansion." Reputed to have taken three renowned artisans more than a year to create, this item is not for sale, but it definitely worth a look. Sheng Dao's products can be found for sale at many of Dalian's large department stores, such as You Yi Commercial City, Xian Shi and Guo Tai.
